After years of struggling with my PTO connection and barking up my knuckles I found PTO Link. I love it and wish I would have known about it years ago.
I am 78 and 145 lbs and wondered when I bought a New Holland Boomer tractor what would become of me. I own 20 acres. For the past 9 years shifting to the rotary cutter on the PTO was a moment I dreaded. I did it every year, just the one time, off with the York Rake and on with the Bush Hog. Each time I came close to tears but I did it. The PTO was designed by the Devil’s workshop. I have a 1500 foot woodshop with serious machinery. I have sailed from Casco Bay to Oxford, Maryland, alone. Not a stranger to difficult tasks. But the PTO was such a bitch that I was reluctant to buy more implements. I asked the internet is there an easier way, and I found PTO Link. I bought the HD model. That plunger pin on the SD is not as easy for me to press into service, but the HD’s quarter-turn pins are a breeze. I can take it on and off for fun. There are more than a few life changing experiences we have, but this was one of them. I viewed all the videos many times. After measuring my driveline, I found I needed to shorten to accommodate the new PTO Link. Cutting the driveline would have been okay, but for $300 bucks it was easier to buy a quick hitch for the extra length. I put everything together, watched the measurement video for the last time, and I could not be happier. There is a nice guy down in Texas who invented PTO Link and he is around if you want to speak with him, minding the shop. The sales staff, I spoke with Nathanael, all are sweet and empathetic. I would recommend PTO Link, if I were richer I would buy you one just to be neighborly.
I have bought 2 total PTO Link systems and very pleased with both. I recently bought the Compact system for my subcompact Kubota BX 2380 along with the stabilizer plate and had bought a SD system previously for my New Holland 35 HP plus the Wrench to turn the PTO shaft and the Sling to hold the PTO driveline in place. Very pleased with all the products.
PTO Link is going to make changing out implements much simpler. I have tools that allowed me to shorten the drivelines – some people might find that a challenge.

After customers view our driveline measuring video and IF their measurement confirms that shortening their particular driveline is even necessary, the good news is that most tractor owners have the simple tools handy (a vice and hacksaw or reciprocating saw) to handle the job. And once they’ve seen our videos and watch how it’s done, it’s far less of a challenge. In many cases, alternate methods of simply adding a quick-hitch or extending the drawbar will offset the need to shorten at all. Happy PTO Connecting!
So far, so good. A little pricey, but if they last, it will be worth it! So much easier putting these PTO Link couplers together than trying to wrestle the PTO onto the tractor!
